Mt. Buntot Palos

Holy Week 2011 ( Day 2)

Early morning we woke up and pack things we need to carry along the way. We walked outside to get a ride. From pakil you can take a jeep and drop to Sinoloan and ride a tricycle to Buntot Palos or you can ride a tricycle from Pakil to Buntot Palos starting point. While on the way to Sinoloan we saw some local long-boarders pushing on the road. Wooahh. A great day to start.

As we arrived from starting point. We asked some locals where we can get a a guide. The bill was about 150 pesos for a guide and 25 pesos per person for the registration fee. Note : the place is quite private owned by a rich family. It was my first time to climb the mountain. It's quite different among other mountain. The weather is in good condition and it a good sign. Along the road Van shared some unforgettable experiences about the place. I remembered he told us about our friend Blaze who rent a horse to finished the hike because it's quite slippery on the road and she a girl. Back again, on our hike I thought I was the sweeper because I'm always last. But what I really knew that is I'm very slow on the hike. Haha! Never mind at least I never surrendered the hike. After an hour of walk we saw the falls. Atlast here we are. We took a rest for a while and excitedly took some photos. Fortunately we bought goods to eat and gin to drink. Haha! We had a moment to take some refreshing water for a bath. Wooahh! Refreshment! After some hour in the place, we planned to go back. It was a nice day hike again for us.

We highly appreciated our guide "Ramon / George / Thomas" in short we don't know his real name.

Mt. Pingas

Holy Week 2011 ( Day 1)
Woahh! Welcome back to Pakil. The last time I've been here was when we climb Mt.Romelo, Famy Laguna with MIT mountaineering crew. It is so nice to be here and spending my vacation with the buddies!

First day trip, dayhike at Mt. Pingas. The mountain trek is just in the front of Van's house. Haha! The trek road was totally now cemented unlike from my first hike it was still solid soil. There are stations of the cross along the way until to the top of the mountain and in every station we saw, we pause for a while and took a rest. Without trainings and excercise it was quite difficult to climb (my bad) and again charge it to experience. As we saw the arc of Mt. Pingas I'm trully happy and hungry. ALAS! I'm here again atlast. From the top of the mountain view you can see the beauty of the nature. The laguna bay, rice fields and townhomes. It was definetly fun to see them again. As we rest for a while we eat cup noddles bought from a small store in the mountain. Amazing isn't it? Some locals are staying and selling just to earn for their living at the top. As time pass by, each of us had a moment to something to look forward. Wow! Fresh air, good vibes, no stress  and nothing to think for. As the sunset started to show. A great view engaged to us. Now again I realized how life is beautiful in every creation, every little thing and every swing of the air is so such beautiful it was. The chapel in the mountain also reminds me of something, that we are growing up and time pass-by so fast. As we go back along the way down again and down thinking looking for tomorrow's next adventure.

Photo's are grab from Van Agamata and Napol Alinsod! Solid photographers! cheers :)
